The Quantic Soul Orchestra
“Putting something back” is how Will Holland described the reason for starting The Quantic Soul Orchestra.
The latest QSO album ‘Tropedelico’ was released in 2007 to yet more high acclaim for Quantic.
The multi talented and disgracefully hard working Quantic has led The Quantic Soul Orchestra to being one of Europe’s highest regarded live funk/soul acts.
A strictly live project, Quantic marshals a changing band of musicians and vocalists, to recreate and further the authentic 60’s and 70’s raw funk sound.
Their debut album Stampede was released in 2003, and the band have played hugely successful live shows at Jazz Cafe, The Big Chill, Glastonbury, Eden Project, Roskilde Festival, and the Istanbul Jazz Festival, as well as knocking audiences flat around the UK.
The second album Pushin On was released in the Spring of 2005, and has only furthered their reputation amongst funk afficionados as well as those who just want to have a good time.
Following that came the collaboration LP and UK tour with soul legend Spanky Wilson, and 2007 saw yet another twist for the QSO, this time to Columbia, as ‘Tropedelico’ explored South American sounds.
