With 6 years of experience touring the globe as DJs and over 100 previous releases between them (under various guises), their collective output has been championed by the likes of Claude Von Stroke, Derrick Carter, Untold, DJ Die, Craig Richards, Friction, Modeselektor, and many more. Having honed their production skills and in need of a new challenge, Behling & Simpson are now in the business of crafting fresh and original house cuts, dropping the tempo to allow space for highly swung drums, RnB-esque vocals and deep 808-bass. Behling has already appeared solo on Futureboogie’s digital offshoot with the sublime ‘Without You’ on ‘The Summer Riot EP’ and together they are responsible for the BBC Radio 1 lauded ‘B&S edits’ and a remix of Bashmore’s ‘Father Father’ on the boogiefuturo white label. Their first full EP for the mother label sees the Behling & Simpson sound fully unleashed and has won them support from artists as diverse as Funk D’Void, Tensnake, Jackmaster and Mosca, and with further release to come for both Futureboogie Recordings and Appleblim’s acclaimed Applepips label next year, we expect to be hearing a lot more from this ass wiggling addition to Bristol’s music scene.
